This season, we teamed up with Nicola and Cissy from the store Cissy Wears to get the behind-the-scenes experience of a renowned retailer at a trade show! Having gotten the inside scoop about how the store started, how Nicola curates its offer, and where it’s heading in our previous article (which you can read here!), we followed along as Nicola and Cissy explored the aisles of Playtime Paris last month. From stops at Tom & Boy to Bobo Choses, Talou and more, let Nicola and Cissy share their favorite finds and what they loved about them. It’s time for Cissy Wear’s picks!

Playtime Paris is always a season highlight for me, and this one was no exception. It’s where creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation collide—exactly what I look for at Cissy Wears. This season, I was especially excited to see brands embracing bold design, sustainability, and a more thoughtful approach to kids’ fashion and lifestyle. There was a real energy around independent labels, proving once again that people want more than just mass-market sameness.

For me, it’s never about what’s trending—it’s about pieces with integrity, intention, and a strong point of view. Playtime Paris remains the best place to discover brands that align with my ethos, and I left feeling inspired (and with a wish list a mile long). Some of my standouts this season? Tangerine, Main Story, The Campamento, East End Highlanders, and Momohanipopo.

Now, if only I had a bigger shop… or maybe someone wants to hire me as their buyer?!”

Cissy’s Teen Picks!

Cissy had plenty of favorites this season, and she’s going to give us a glimpse at a few of them! As the inspiration behind the store itself, it only makes sense that we start Cissy Wear’s picks with her favorites!

Repose AMS > “I love this skirt by Repose AMS! It’s very 90’s, it reminds me of the movie Clueless. I think it’s also very likely to make my mum say “I had one just like that”!”

The New Society > “I love the colors on this fleece with the contrasting pop of blue, I think boys or girls could wear it. Personally, I would wear it with a long skirt and my Doc Martens.

Main Story > “I love a chunky oversized cardigan and the trend for rugby style shirts. These pieces from Main Story fulfill both of these briefs!”

Tangerine > “My mum has a lot of striped blue shirts which are sadly too big for me, so this Tangerine shirt means I could have my own! I would wear it oversized for the spring season over some denim shorts.”

Wolf & Rita > “This shirt by Wolf & Rita was my favorite color combination for the whole show. I also love the detailing on the collar and the 3/4 sleeves.”

Ao76 > “We didn’t really know much about Ao76 before, but we thought they had some great teen pieces for kids. It was hard to just pick one, so I picked four! 😂”

Nicola’s Picks

Next up, let’s see Nicola’s favorite products! Having developed her expert eye over almost 20 years, she’s a trade show expert. Let’s see what products she chose for Cissy Wear’s picks this winter!

The Campamento > “I love The Campamento! Their collections have a nostalgic, almost storybook-like quality that mixes vintage-inspired silhouettes with modern, quirky prints. I love a speckled knit, and this blue baby cardigan is just perfection!”

Momohanipopo > “I’m a sucker for quality knitwear that’s not itchy coupled with unique prints, and Momohanipopo embodies just that. Their lookbook shoots are always adorable!”

Goldie + Ace > “There’s not too much need for ski suits in the UK, but if there was, I’d be all over this cool retro one from Goldie + Ace! Pretty sure there’s a photo of me in something very similar from my childhood sitting on a roundabout somewhere in 1978!”

Tom & Boy > “I absolutely adore the vintage illustration on this piece from Tom & Boy! With its striking primary colors and quirky illustration, it feels like something pulled from a mid-century storybook but with a fresh, modern twist.”

Cissy Wear's Picks

Hello Simone > “This sweater was my favorite piece of the whole show this season. I love this Hello Simone knit for its nostalgic charm, playful floral jacquard, and that perfect lilac hue. Make anything in lilac, and I will love it!”
